Mitsubishi

While the Mitsubishi brand is most often associated with cars, it is also the brand name of large conglomerate that, among many other products, manufactures quality construction equipment. The Mitsubishi company has a very long history that can be traced back to 1860s. The roots of Mitsubishi were founded by Yataro Iwasaki when he purchased three steamships, and by 1871 it was known as the Mitsubishi Steamship Company. Through the years, Mitsubish diversified but was dissolved in 1947. However, in a matter years it began to rebuild itself, becoming Mitsubishi Shoji in 1954 and Mitsubishi Corporation in 1971.

The Industrial Machinery Business Division is responsible for, among other things, Mitsubishi’s production of machines for construction, mining, and agriculture. Note that in China Mitsubishi has a joint venture with Hitachi to distribute hydraulic excavators, so the Mitsubishi brand is sometimes associated with Hitachi. Mitsubishi manufactures hydraulic motors and pumps, forklifts, combines, crawler tractors, mini excavators, motor graders, mini rotors, power tillers, wheel loaders, and tractors for the construction and farming industries.
